This is a no-kids-allowed place, so you're likely to see honeymooners or couples celebrating special occasions. The hotel draws all ages (minus the children), but guests tend to be affluent, successful, and well-traveled. The staff, breakfast, cleanness, and location couldn’t be any better.
What type of room can I book at Kehoe House, Historic Inns of Savannah Collection?

The Kehoe House – A Boutique Inn
I loved hearing the clip clop of horses as they passed. Featuring a columned portico, the Owens-Thomas House is one of Savannah’s few remaining examples of Regency-style architecture. The elegant interior is furnished with period pieces reflecting how the Owens family would have lived in the early 19th century. In addition to an English-inspired garden, the property includes one of the city’s earliest intact slave quarters. The Kehoe House is located on a quiet tree-lined square on the northern part of Savannah’s Historic District.
TOURS
The breakfasts were phenomenal, and it was so lovely to be offered wine and/or coffee/tea with appetizers in the evenings. The location was ideal; we walked to all of the historical sites and also to the SCAD freshman dorms to visit my niece. There are occasions when only the best will do. At The Kehoe House, we recommend The Mercer Room and The Oglethorpe Room when visitors are seeking the very finest Savannah experience.

Johnny Mercer Room Private Balcony King
The home is famous for its paranormal activity. It is reported that William also rings the bell to enter the home after hours and turns on the lights in the study. Most of the home’s supernatural activity revolves around children. The Kehoes’ twin boys died at the age of five while playing inside a chimney, which was blocked off and decorated with angels.
The hotel overlooks the bijoux Columbia Square and is just a block or two from Oglethorpe Square, one of Savannah's original colonial squares. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Kehoe House is a historic building in the American city of Savannah, Georgia. It is located in the northwestern civic block of Columbia Square and was built in 1892.[2][3] It is part of the Savannah Historic District. From the inspiring surroundings and warm hospitality to the fabulous food, The Kehoe House promises an amazing elopement or small wedding experience. All you have to do is bring each other, your wedding attire, and your marriage license.
What are the check-in and check-out times at Kehoe House, Historic Inns of Savannah Collection?
One of the most notable historic homes in Savannah, the Queen Anne-style Kehoe House was built in 1893. Dewitt Bruyn designed the multi-story brick mansion for William Kehoe, a wealthy businessman. Along with Corinthian columns, the red brick residence features a variegated roofline, double and triple windows and a truncated turret as well as bay windows beneath a parapet. The home is surrounded by porches and balconies.
The Kehoe House was built in 1892 by William Kehoe, a successful iron foundry owner. The home's exterior stairways, window treatments, columns, fences and gates are all made of cast iron, a tribute to the iron foundry's excellence in pattern making and casting. The house features 13 guest rooms and multiple private and semi-private balconies. It is often photographed, and is considered one of Savannah's most treasured historic buildings.

Tell us all about the rooms. They vary in size and decor (two rooms have private balconies) but they’re all traditional, spacious, and elegant. On a recent visit, we stayed in the John Wesley Room, which had mustard-yellow walls, wood floors, and large windows. The decor felt unfussy, with little in the way of decorations beyond a fancy gilded mirror and crystal chandelier. There was both a tub and shower in the bathroom, and the room retained a sense of period grandeur without sacrificing any modern tech amenities. Every member of the staff was so attentive and friendly.
Even if you don’t book into a room with a private balcony, the shared courtyard and veranda are both pleasant enough spots to savor a glass of wine as the sun sets. I was very impressed by the kind, friendly and helpful staff. Dana welcomed me and I immediately she felt as if she was a life long friend. The Mercer room was beautiful and very comfortable - even the bed!

The Kehoe House is quaint, historic inn housed in a beautifully restored 1892 mansion. The 13 rooms are all elegant and classic (without feeling fussy or dated), with antique-style wood furniture, decorative fireplaces, hardwood floors, and chandeliers. Most have a large veranda overlooking tree-lined Columbia Square. There are few amenities, but freebies galore (free Wi-Fi, cooked-to-order breakfast), and the location in the Historic District is hard to beat. The Inn is beautiful with lots of attention to historic details.
The ornate Wormsloe Fountain adorns the center of the park. The fountain was relocated from the Wormsloe Plantation to the square in 1970. The Historic District is bordered by the Savannah River and Forsyth Park, and includes the Riverfront and City Market areas. Riverfront is a (somewhat) recently revitalized area, with restaurants, galleries, shops, and bars. City Market is a more diverse and casual version of Riverfront, with lots of live music and vendors selling Savannah-made ware.

We had an opportunity to spend one night in Savannah and chose the Kehoe house based off of reviews, and I am so glad we booked it! The location is so convenient and quiet, and the house itself is ...
